The Planet Prosper Pledge Challenge is an invitation for individuals and communities to commit to climate-positive actions. This initiative encourages the formulation of pledges that contribute to a sustainable lifestyle and ecological preservation. By participating, you join a movement dedicated to creating tangible impacts through collective commitment. Whether it's reducing your carbon footprint, engaging in community clean-ups, or advocating for policy change, every pledge is a step toward a healthier planet.

Instructions for Creating Your Pledge Video
1. Choose Your Theme:
Select one environmental issue that resonates most with you and your group (friends, family, neighbors, or colleagues). This could be anything from reducing plastic use to promoting renewable energy. See below for some brainstorming ideas you might like in your video.
2. Plan Your Message:
Gather your group and discuss how you collectively want to support and address this issue. Decide what each person will say or how you will show your commitment in the video.
3. Keep It Short and Sweet:
Your video should be 30 to 60 seconds long. This is just enough time to make a powerful statement without losing the attention of your audience.
4. Film Your Video:
Use a smartphone or camera to record your video. Make sure to film in a quiet place with good lighting. Speak clearly and position the camera steadily, perhaps using a tripod or stable surface.
Include everyone in your group in the video. This could be through a group shout-out, a collaborative action, or individual pledges compiled together.
5. Edit for Clarity and Impact:
If necessary, edit your video to enhance the audio or visual quality. Apps like iMovie, Adobe Premiere Rush, or even TikTok can be used to trim the video, adjust the lighting, or add subtitles.
6. Submit Your Video:
Once your video is ready, submit it via the provided Google Form. Make sure to fill in all required fields in the form, including your name, contact information, and any other details asked by the organizers.
7. Share and Inspire:
Encourage others to participate by sharing your video or the initiative on social media. Tag your post with #PlanetProsperPledge to increase visibility and inspire more people to join the cause. We will feature your video on the official GCA Youtube Channel, Twitch, and in climate science blogs.

This challenge is open to individuals of all ages, from any location on Earth.
Starting 22nd April at 8 AM, find the instructions for creating and submitting your sustainability pledge video.
Record your pledge, detailing the sustainable actions you plan to undertake.
Upload your video using the submission form on the event page.
Ensure your entry is submitted before the deadline: 29th April, 11:59 PM.

Potential Themes for Video Makers
In order to spark some ideas for your video making competition, we are sharing some themes which you can use. You can also use your own ideas and turn them into compelling videos. You are welcome to use AI (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Bing AI, etc) to brainstorm more ideas for yourself, or in groups of up to 5 when collaborating. Videos of 3 winners are featured on our Youtube channel, Twitch, and on scientific blogs.
